Interactive, evidence-based classes. Learn about the physical process of labor and birth, comfort strategies including medication for pregnancy, labor and birth, strategies for negotiation and shared decisions, newborn behavior and the transition to parenthood, and ways to give birth confidently.
Group Classes
Group classes are no longer offered. However, if you have a friend that is expecting and would like to attend together that can be arranged. Make sure you mention this on the Contact Us page or email at [email protected].
Private Lamaze Classes
This program will provide private Lamaze classes scheduled on an appointment basis to meet the educational and scheduling needs of childbearing families. Individualized classes are available. The length of the program will be dependent on the needs of each client. In person classes have the advantage of in-person practice of skills and more direct interaction. In person classes are held in Spring, TX. Classes are available as virtual via Zoom to persons in any location.
A full Lamaze series would be 12 hours of instruction and are available as in-person or virtual. Classes are taught by a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator who is a Fellow in the Academy of Certified Childbirth Educators.
Breastfeeding Class
A Breastfeeding Class is offered as a stand alone class or in addition to a Lamaze series. Discount available with a Lamaze series. This class introduces the process of milk production, hormones involved, issues of supply and demand, and many other topics. This class is a great opportunity to have questions answered by a Certified Lactation Counselor. This class generally runs for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. This class is available in-person or virtual.
Cost
The cost of private classes is $25/hour.
If taking a full Lamaze series and the Breastfeeding class the cost is $300 (a $350 value) for 14+ hours of instruction.
Some scholarships are available.
